This quartz countertop is made from 93 to 95 percent pulverized minerals combined with 5 to 7 percent cement-based binder resins. The resins enhance the non-porous feature of quartz slabs which is better compared to granite.  Some styles use crushed glass, metal flakes and other materials to mimic the random, patterns, veining, and textures of natural stone, perfect for more traditional kitchens.

A durable surface such as quartz is stain-resistant and scratch-resistant with little to no maintenance needed over its long service life. Since the material is nonporous it will not absorb the water or any kind of residue left on it. Then take a sponge and scrub the surface and wipe it off with a clean and dry cloth. Unlike other countertop materials, quartz is  not require being sealed. The finish will last for years and years with proper care and  cleanings. Quartz can be cleaned easily with a mild detergent, water and a soft cloth or paper towel. Abrasive cleansers or harsh scouring pads and cleansers that contain bleach should not be used with quartz.
