Quartz doesn't need to be sealed. Quartz doesn't etch the way that marble does, which makes quartz countertops much more durable than marble. In addition, quartz countertops are non-porous which means that they won't absorb moisture and liquids, unlike marble. So, quartz countertops are excellent in busy kitchens as they are stain-resistant. Sauce, tomato, juice, oil, and coffee don't stand a chance. The polymer resin makes the quartz non-porous, withstanding both stains and germs.
Quartz has a smooth and silky surface and there is no need to use abrasive cleaning materials because everything just glides on it. You can do the deeper cleaning with professional cleaning products or just mix some vinegar and water, or you can use the glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could dull the surface. Cleaners with high pH levels are not recommended.
